The Sarawak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) opened its doors to businesses and companies doing business in the State when it was established and registered on 20th July 1951.
The objective of the Chamber is to promote commerce and industry amongst the diverse businesses in the State. The Chamber has established itself as the communication channel for member-businesses with the Government of Malaysia, Government of Sarawak and other Chamber of Commerce & Industries.
At the turn of the 20th Century, Chinese entrepreneurs began establishing Chinese entrepreneurial organizations in various cities and towns in Sarawak. They were self- governing entities and independent from one another.KNOW MORE
The idea of forming Chamber of Commerce for the Dayak Community was mooted during K. L Seminar held in April 2002, under the sponsorship of YB Tan Sri Bernard Dompok and YB Datuk Amar Leo Moggie and officiated by YAB. Dr. Mahathir.
