The Sarawak Business Federation (SBF) jointly with the Sarawak State Government and MATRADE are organizing a Business Mission to Kalimantan from 20th – 23rd April 2018 to be led by Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Industrial and Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Amar Hj Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and our SBF President, Datuk Abang Abdul Karim bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg .
This Business Mission is a reciprocal business visit following the MOU for Joint Economic Development inked on 8th September 2017 between Sarawak Business Federation and Kamar Dagang and Industry Kalimantan Barat, Pontianak during the SBF’s Gala Night & Chief Minister’s Industry Excellence Awards 2017.
The potential industries identified for the Expo are Education, Property, Medical, Tourism & Business Events, Energy, Technology, Trading & Investment and Agriculture.

Sat, 21st April 2018 – Expo / Business Workshop Sessions / Launching
Sun, 22nd April 2018 – Expo / Business Workshop Sessions / State hosted dinner
Mon, 23rd April 2018 – Business Dialogue between SBF & Kadin Kalbar / Business Mission Ends
According to its President, Datuk Abang Haji Abdul Karim, “The main purpose of this mission, aside from fostering stronger bilateral ties with our regional neighbour, is to give the business community in Sarawak the right platform to showcase their products and services in Pontianak.”
“As the industries are well represented, we foresee the response to be very encouraging”, he added.
